A fine camera
First, it's a premium point and shoot and it looks it. The titanium
exterior is awesome - strong but surprisingly it doesn't feel too heavy.
Good viewscreen, and the viewfinder is a plus on this size camera.
Ergonomically, it is a natural to hold and easy to shoot with one hand.
The camera has image stabilization and many setting choices that
can be used should you wish to do so. Or you can shoot "auto"
and your photos will be great, too! How do the photos look?
Very nice: clear, sharp, vibrant color.
Additionally, I was surprised how nice movies were, better than I expected
and better than movies shot with 'designed-for-still-shots' camera
I have seen in the past. Excellent camera.

Fantastic Point and Shoot
I've had many, many, MANY different point and shoot digitals (since the days of Sony Mavica). This particular camera is by far my favorite. It takes fantastic shots (many easily as good as my digital SLR). Very quick recovery time between shots, which is a must-have feature for me. Easy to turn the flash off when needed (a feature I use quite often). Takes great pictures in low light. Sturdy-- I've dropped it a number of times, and it still turns on.
I highly recommend this camera. It's worth every penny I paid for it.

Camera review
camera great, pictures have turned out nice, everything was new in box and working just as described

Liked the camera but stopped dead after 15 months
We got a good amount of use out of this camera but were disappointed when the camera stopped functioning on a recent outing, 15 months after purchase (and 3 months out of warranty). At first we thought it might be a dead battery but after changing batteries the lens will not open and the camera won't power up. Have had good success with the older version of this camera (IS750) but we gave it to a relative when we upgraded to this one. We're going to try an Olympus Stylus Tough series camera this time and see how it performs.

Dropped Dead after 18 months
I liked this camera (even though interior photos... no flash... were fuzzy) UNTIL it quit working after 18 months. We were on vacation last week visiting distant grand kids followed by a scenic tour. Fortunately, we were able to get some great kid photos, but the next morning it was deader than a doornail. Didn't get ANY pictures of the rest of the family or our later travels.
After reading here about costs of repair after warranty I decided to replace it with ANYTHING that is not Canon.
